Swansea as a City of Sanctuary

In 2010 Swansea became the UK's second official City of Sanctuary - and Wales' first - highlighting Swansea as a city that strives to welcome and offer sanctuary to those fleeing war, violence or persecution.

Swansea supports and is inclusive of asylum seekers and refugees and celebrates their contribution to city life.
