Children and young people fund 2018/2019

We are now inviting applications to the Children and Young People Fund 2018/2019.

We are looking for applications from new and existing establishments that support children, young people and/or families and can demonstrate an integrated approach to child and/or youth care via the provision of quality, affordable and accessible services which help families address their work/life balance.

Settings are reminded that they must be registered with the CSSIW, affiliated to a partner organisation and that they should research the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment as panel decisions will be based around this detail.

About the fund

The Children and Young People Fund comprises the former Play Fund and Childcare Strategy Grant, to provide a single application process.

Additionally, for 2018/2019 it covers all play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.

The grant covers the following;

  • Childcare
  • Youth Care for 11+
  • Play (including open and closed access)
  • Play and leisure opportunities for those with additional needs

Deadline for first round: 23 February 2018

The fund will remain 'live' throughout the year for additional applications, but allocations are not guaranteed.

Funding available

There is no maximum funding provided, as organisations may be applying to deliver more than one project.
