Childcare and Early Years Small Capital Grant scheme 2024 / 2025
We are now inviting applications to the Childcare and Early Years Small Capital Grant scheme 2024 / 2025.
We are looking for applications from existing establishments who are committed to the continuous delivery of quality childcare and early years provision throughout the city and county of Swansea.
About the fund
The Childcare and Early Years Capital Grant scheme is being implemented from 2022 / 2023 to the end of 2024 / 2025. Its purpose is to support, maintain and improve the existing childcare infrastructure. It will be open to all registered childcare providers, and those working towards CIW registration, with an objective to ensure that the childcare sector throughout Swansea is strengthened and supported.
Funding availability
The maximum amount any one provision can apply for within the financial year 2024 / 2025 is £20,000. For registered childminders, the maximum amount is £5,000. The amount of the grant will depend on individual circumstances and justification of its need. Only under exceptional circumstances will amounts be awarded over this sum. The Childcare and Early Years Small Capital Grant scheme 2024 / 2025 can be used for small-scale essential capital works and / or the purchase of capital equipment. All works and requested funds must be completed by 31 March 2025. There is a limited amount of funding available. Requests are not guaranteed and will be prioritised against Government set criteria.
