Marriages and Civil Partnerships at the Swansea Bay Ceremony Rooms, Civic Centre

Outside the marriage rooms we have a garden with a courtyard and wedding arbour and our patio is on lawns overlooking the beach. This offers an excellent backdrop for your photographs after your ceremony.

The Swansea Bay Ceremony Rooms can accommodate up to 55 people. There is a CD music system and you are welcome to bring your own choice of music to personalise your ceremony. 

A civil marriage/civil partnership ceremony cannot have any religious content. You can add individual touches such as non-religious music and readings to your ceremony.

We also have a statutory Register Office for those couples who want to complete the legal elements of a marriage/civil partnership ceremony only. This is a small room where couples are accompanied by two witnesses only.

Booking your ceremony

These rooms are available from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon and Saturday mornings. The statutory Register Office is available from Monday to Thursday only. Provisional bookings can be taken up to two years before your ceremony by emailing registrars@swansea.gov.uk.

Please note that your booking stays provisional until you have given your notice of marriage or civil partnership within the statutory timescales.

Location

The ceremony rooms are in the Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3SN.

There is room for wedding cars and disabled parking outside the ceremony rooms. There is a small visitor car park up a slight slope. There are also car parks on the opposite side of the Civic Centre in Civic Centre East car park and Paxton Street.
