Road closures

There will be a number of road closures and diversions on the weekend in order to ensure the safety, security and enjoyment of those attending the event.
To see a bigger version of the map, click the icon in the top right corner.

The key points are:

  • De La Beche Road and Gower Road (between De La Beche Road and Eversley Road) will be a no parking area from 8pm on Friday, May 25 to 6am, Monday, May 28. For safety, security and to aid traffic movement in the area we are required to keep some roads free of parked vehicles.
  • In order to be able to ensure this, there will be parking restrictions and a vehicle tow-away operation taking place on the roads mentioned. If you are affected by these closures, we would kindly request that you move your vehicle to an alternative location before 8pm on Friday 25th May
  • De La Beche Road will be one-way only (east to west) from 8pm on Friday, May 25 to 6am, Monday, May 28.
  • Brynmill Lane between Gower Road and Mumbles Road will be closed to traffic from 10pm on Friday, May 25, to 6am, Monday May 28.
  • Gower Road (between De La Beche Road and Eversley Road) and Mumbles Road (between Sketty Lane and Gorse Lane) will be closed to traffic from approximately 9pm to 11.45pm on both concert days. This is to ensure the safety and security of concert-goers as they leave the concert. We expect these to be the busiest times in the area around Singleton Park.
  • Diversion signs will be set up to assist traffic flows in the area but it is expected to be very busy, particularly at the times when the concerts end.
  • Access to all areas will be maintained for the emergency services at all times.
  • Council Parking Enforcement Officers will be operating in the area over the event weekend to monitor indiscriminate or illegal car parking in order to help minimise disruption for residents.

Taxis

Taxis are available from Swansea train station, Swansea City Centre and several other locations around the area.

A journey from the train station to Singleton Park will cost approximately £8, but busy traffic / slow journeys will increase the price.

Taxis are not permitted to access Singleton Park. Should you be arriving by taxi you should aim to be dropped off and collected at

  • De La Beche Road
  • Bryn Road

Taxi marshals will operate in both these areas.

Queues for taxis leaving site are often quite long, please consider pre-booking a private hire to collect you from the designated pick up area at the far end of De La Beche Road. Please allow plenty of time to walk from the concert arena to the highway when booking your taxi.

Drop off / pick up point

The designated pick up and drop off point is located on De La Beche Road. This area will be well lit and stewarded throughout the festival.

Please do not attempt to drop off or pick up anywhere along Oystermouth Road.

When arranging to be picked up you should be mindful of the road closures operating in the area. Details of the road closures will be available shortly.

Cycling
