With Nathalie Salomon. This French language course is aimed at people who studied the language at school and wish to refresh their knowledge.

This course will cover situations such as eating out, asking for directions or booking accommodation, participants will learn how to describe and discuss their leisure using past and future tense.

Elements of this course will include:

  • Understand sentences and frequently used expressions.
  • Communicate in simple and route tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
  • Describe in simple terms aspects of your background and immediate environment.
  • Understand the main points on familiar matters encountered in work, school, leisure etc.
  • Situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where French is spoken.
  • Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.

Sessions take place every week and are relaxed, yet focused. There will be a range of activities to keep everyone engaged and each lesson will contain a mix of reading, listening and speaking activities. You will sometimes work on your own, but will also work in pairs or groups. There is no exam but you will be informally assessed throughout the course.
