From £10 per hour. A variety of Social Care Personal Assistant positions are available throughout the Swansea area to support individuals of all ages (children and adults), backgrounds and abilities.

Being a Social Care Personal Assistant is not just about supporting someone with their personal care or medication. Many are employed to support people to get out and about in their community or help with household chores and shopping trips. Above all else, a Social Care Personal Assistant is there to support the individual with what matters to them, and duties can also include going out for meals, going to the cinema or social clubs, supporting with hobbies such as gardening or going to the gym and many other social activities.
This is a rewarding role that can make a big difference to a person's life by helping them achieve their individual outcomes and goals
Your hours and duties will be agreed between yourself and your employer (usually the person you support), who may require you to work flexible shifts including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays. This can be beneficial if you have other commitments, such as childcare, studying, or other employment. Precise requirements will be discussed at the interview, although we will do our best to match your preferences before the interview.

You will be required to provide evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.
Also, if you do not hold a current DBS certificate, or if your employer requires a DBS check to be renewed, the cost of the DBS check will be borne by Swansea Council. Swansea Council will also ask you to sign up for portable DBS service, which again will be borne by Swansea Council.
If you do have a current DBS certificate, you will need to issue your employer the date of issue, certificate number and expiry date.
