Coronavirus staff update - 17 August 2020

Welsh lessons return this October, and a new site is launched to help care home providers find information.

Welsh lessons are back

We're offering staff a new range of Welsh courses designed to suit your level of knowledge of the language.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the intention to commence these courses as 2 hour weekly, tutor led distance learning courses run by our friendly tutors to help you learn and have fun while you are doing it.  You will also be given the opportunity to be appointed a mentor to support you.

New website for providers of residential care services

The Western Bay Partnership has launched a new resource intended to support providers of residential care services across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.

The site has been created by the regional, multi-agency Externally Commissioned Care Group. It is intended to highlight the most recent changes and signpost to key resources. The group was established at the beginning of the pandemic as part of the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership's emergency response. Its membership includes representatives from Swansea Council, Neath Port Talbot Council, Swansea Bay University Health Board, Public Health Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.

To access the resources and further information go here: www.westernbay.org.uk/care-homes-covid19.

Its content will be updated on an ongoing basis as the pandemic continues to progress.
