The chef and ultra-athlete, who was the frontman of hit MTV series Dirty Sanchez before going on to present the BBC's first vegan cookery show, Dirty Vegan, will share his love of tasty plant-based food at the festival on Saturday 29 February.

Croeso Food and Drink Festival, is a free to enter two-day festival, celebrating all things Welsh including its wonderful produce, held in Swansea's city centre on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March.

Matt Pritchard will be demonstrating the joy of easy to cook vegan dishes in his demonstration at the Croeso Kitchen in the city's Portland Street on Saturday 29 February at 1pm before an audience question and answer session at 2pm in Swansea Market, when Matt will also be signing copies of his book, The Dirty Vegan.

The Dirty Vegan, Matt Pritchard said: "I am totally fired up to be heading to the Croeso Food and Drink Festival to share my passion for amazing plant-based food that tastes BANGING!

"The whole Dirty Sanchez to Dirty Vegan journey has been amazing, and I can't wait to share my story, meet as many vegan or vegan-curious folk in Swansea as possible, and show how this incredible, nourishing, energising food is for everyone!"

Pritchard has a genuinely infectious enthusiasm for life, centred on truly good food and extraordinary sporting achievements. He believes in celebrating the joy of beautiful, colourful, fresh plant-based dishes that are easy to cook at home.

The Dirty Vegan joins an already impressive line-up of chefs, including the nation's favourite French chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, who will be headlining the festival's demonstrations on Sunday 1 March.

The free event is organised by Swansea Council. Councillor Robert Francis-Davies, cabinet member for investment, regeneration and tourism, said: "We're really looking forward to welcoming the Dirty Vegan, Matt Pritchard, to our great line-up of demonstrating chefs at this year's Croeso Festival.

"I'm sure Matt's demonstration and follow-up question and answer session will help people reimagine plant-based food and inspire them to try a vegan dish.

"Events like the Croeso Food and Drink Festival provide opportunities to showcase some the fantastic food and drink produced locally and throughout Wales, and also attract people to the city centre by offering something new. They then have the advantage of try out the recipes at home using the wealth of locally sourced, fresh food right on their doorstep including Swansea market - officially voted as Britain's Best Indoor Market for 2020
