Swansea Council's Lifelong Learning team is offering a range of opportunities including digital photography classes, cookery and learning to play a musical instrument.

Others include computer skills, art classes and yoga.

Online enrolment has started and the courses starting in January make for great Christmas presents.

There are also free Get Swansea Online courses that are ideal to introduce people who receive smartphones, tablets and devices as presents to the internet.

Kay Piper, Operations Manager for the Lifelong Learning Service, said: "This year thousands of adults have taken the opportunity to learn new skills or brush up on old ones in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

"The sense of achievement, friendships and satisfaction gained from our courses was very evident when some of those attending our music courses came together for a fantastic evening of song and seasonal celebration to mark the successful completion of a term of guitar and ukulele classes.

"Beginner, intermediate and advanced guitar and ukulele class members sang and played traditional festive favourites as well as old classics learned during the term.

"It was marvellous to hear the different levels of players and the enthusiasm of all who attended, it has really given everyone the inspiration to carry on learning.

"All present thanked the inspirational and talented Keith Morgan who teaches guitar and ukulele for the Lifelong Learning Service and made the whole event possible."
