Report litter in the street so we can deal with it.

Streets are cleaned weekly after the refuse collection in each area. There is a set programme that covers district shops which are litter-picked on a daily basis. The city centre is cleansed on a daily basis.

Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) can be issued by enforcement staff and Police Community Support Officers for the offence of dropping litter. Litter also includes cigarette butts and chewing gum.

The penalty for dropping litter is £100 payable within 14 days. If the penalty is paid within 7 days, it is reduced to £75.
