Joint housing land availability study

Local planning authorities (LPAs) in Wales are required to ensure that sufficient land is available, or will become available, to maintain a five-year supply of land for housing. To demonstrate this a joint housing land availability study (JHLAS) is prepared each year.

Carmarthen Bay, Gower & Swansea Bay Local Seascape Character Assessment

This will inform policy and development management decisions, assist developers and consultants, and inform the general public. It will guide the management of change in the coastal and marine environment. It is equivalent and complementary to existing landscape character assessments including LANDMAP.

The Regional Technical Statement for the North Wales and South Wales Regional Aggregate Working Parties- Second Review (RTS2) (September 2020)

Minerals Technical Advice Note 1: Aggregates (2004) (MTAN 1) requires the preparation of Regional Technical Statements (RTS) for the areas covered by both the South Wales and North Wales Regional Aggregates Working Parties (RAWPs). The document provides a strategy for the future supply of construction aggregates within the Region, taking account of the latest available information regarding the balance of supply and demand, and current notions of sustainability.
