Lifelong Learning - Engineering

The engineering facility at Gorseinon College gives an opportunity for people interested in engineering to attend Lifelong Learning's two hours workshop each week at the college.

A welcome is extended to people of all abilities from novices to experienced engineers. Novices would have the opportunity to learn new engineering skills. Experienced engineers would have access to sophisticated engineering equipment that would enable them to carry out repairs or undertake a project build.

The needs of the individual are recognised and individual learning plans will be created to cater for the various abilities and demands of the group.

Novices begin by becoming acquainted with various engineering operations such as milling, lathe work shaping, drilling and the use of hand tools. Experienced engineers can undertake any project build such as model making.

The work is carried out in a very friendly atmosphere and experienced engineers share their experience.

This is a workshop where you will work on your own project with guidance from the tutor.

Suitable for: Mixed ability.

Duration: 10 weeks.

Course fee: £69 full fee / £48 concessionary fee.

What you will need
