Where we are
West Glamorgan Archive Service,
Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road,
Swansea SA1 3SN
How to get to us
The railway station is about 15-20 minutes' walk away. The bus station is about 5-10 minutes' walk away; both are marked on the map. Both have taxi ranks if you do not wish to walk to the Civic Centre, and there are also buses from the railway station to the city centre. If you are coming by car, follow signs to the Civic Centre from Oystermouth Road. There is visitor parking on the east (ie the Marina) side of the building. There is also a separate parking area here for disabled visitors, the parking on the upper level providing a level access around the building to the front entrance.
Parking, eating and staying overnight
The Civic centre is well served by public transport and has a number of visitor parking spaces. Parking in the East Car Park is free for two hours (three for Blue Badge holders) and charges apply for any time over that. Charging information can be found under "Civic Centre (East Car Park)" here. More parking is available nearby in the Waterfront and Paxton Street car parks.
The Coastline café is in the Civic Centre foyer, where you can take a break from your research and admire the sea views. Public toilets (including a toilet for wheelchair users) and telephones are off the main foyer.
