Swansea's popular free bus offer is back for Easter

Travellers in Swansea will again be able to board a bus in the city for free during April and the Easter holidays as part of the Free-ride Swansea initiative.

Swansea Council is offering everyone the chance to leave the car at home and get on a bus to travel anywhere in the city.

The latest offer will stretch over most of the Easter half term school holidays with free travel available for ten days from 15 - 24 April.

As with previous offers in February and Christmas, passengers will need to ensure their journeys start and end in Swansea to travel for free and the last free service is at 7pm each day the offer is available.

Stuart Davies, Head of Transport and Highways in Swansea Council, said: "We're continuing with our plans to offer free transport during holiday periods in the city.

"So far, it's been really popular with residents and those travelling within the city's boundary.

"Hopefully families can take advantage of the latest offer for the Easter period.

"The additional benefits for the city is that hopefully, some families choose to leave the car at home and use a public transport service to get about.

"High fuel costs for those with a car mean that families can save some of their money for other things and jump on a bus for free."
