Floristry for Work [Mon, 6.30pm-8.30pm] - EM042485.LG

Currently there are no instances scheduled for this event

Duration - 10 weeks

Arranging flowers and plant material is an enjoyable, creative and therapeutic activity, that can give much pleasure to both the florist and customer alike. During the course you will learn the basic skills required for work in a florist shop environment.
You will be following a recognised Agored Cymru course with accreditation. The purpose and aim will be to know materials, equipment and learn design styles and techniques utilised in floristry. Working with others in a classroom setting provides an opportunity to meet like-minded people from diverse backgrounds with whom you can share ideas and discuss design solutions and outcomes.

With a move towards reducing reliance on floral foam, traditional and innovative techniques will be used to create some arrangements that are floral foam free.

Learners will be required to keep a portfolio containing a record of their assignments and accompanying written evidence. All assignments will need to be completed and recorded in the portfolio submitted for accreditation.

  • Knowledge of plant material
