ALN - Day services for young adults with ALN / learning disability

There are a number of different day services for young adults who have an ALN or a learning disability.

In order to find out what service is best suited to you, you will need to get in contact with Community Learning Disability Team who will discuss your eligibility and needs / outcomes. This may result in a social worker being allocated to you. They will discuss the needs and support required with you and your family. They may arrange an assessment and a range of options will be considered which may include a day service.

Where are day services based?

They are based all over Swansea. They offer support to adults with an ALN or learning disability in a variety of different ways based on needs and outcomes.

Can I just turn up to one of the day services?

No, each day service is set up to support specific needs; you will need to be assessed before attending, to ensure that they are able to support your needs.
