It follows the life of a poor girl, the pursuit of her embroidery, and her fight for the liberty to live and love freely. The art of her embroidery is the art of the girl's life, and her life becomes threaded into her embroidery art.
This large-scale, international production debuted in China, later touring to the USA and Canada, where it received rave reviews. Filled with spectacular dance, music, tragedy and lots of humour, and beautiful, exotic Chinese dance, Embroidery Girl is choreographed by one of China's top Directors Zhao Ming.
