IT workshop

Workshop sessions for learners of all abilities aimed at supporting students with their own specific IT learning needs.

These workshops are available to new and current learners. They are mixed ability sessions and therefore suitable for all levels and abilities. The workshop sessions will provide opportunities for learners to access IT and the Internet, learn IT skills at their own pace, practice and develop their existing skills, and receive information and support to develop or progress their own plans for learning.

This workshop uses Windows PCs and Microsoft Office packages although other software may be available for use. Learners wishing to know more about their tablet computers are also welcome.

Who is it suitable for?

These workshops are available to new and current learners; it is a mixed ability class and therefore suitable for all levels.

What will you need?

PCs are available for use in the classrooms, but if you choose to bring your own laptop computer, it must be fully charged and used on battery when in class. A memory stick may also be useful. A notebook and pen will be helpful for recording notes.

How much will it cost?

This workshop is provided free to by Lifelong Learning although there is a nominal charge of £2 per session attended payable to Canolfan y Bont, to support venue running costs. Learners must enrol to secure a place in advance.
