Blending conventional storytelling with new technology, GALWAD: A STORY FROM OUR FUTURE sees audiences follows the story in real-time on social media and other online platforms.

The story's Swansea element unfolds at three familiar locations - the beach and promenade by the Civic Centre, Middleton Street in St Thomas, and the city centre, including the Grand Theatre and Swansea Market. The council has been working with Collective Cymru, a partnership led by National Theatre Wales, to facilitate the production.

The GALWAD team features Swansea talent including Aisha-May Hunte,  Matthew Aubrey, Anthony Matsena and Marc Rees.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: "GALWAD melds different methods of storytelling with digital technology to create something new and exciting.

"When people see Swansea's locations on screen, it generates an interest that supports our marketing efforts to attract more visitors."

The GALWAD story began with an electrical storm over Swansea Bay. It has been told in real-time on www.galwad.cymru and on social media as with @GALWAD22.

This Sunday (Oct 2) you can watch the whole story on Sky Arts from 4.30-9pm.

GALWAD is commissioned by Creative Wales as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK.
