Youth workers, volunteers and young people are taking part in the Young Minds 310K steps in 31 days during May.

They are all part of Evolve - Swansea Council's Youth Service, offering a range of services for young people and their families.

Young Minds is the UK's leading charity championing the well-being and mental health of children and young people.

The challenge will culminate on Tuesday, May 30, when around 20 young people and 10 volunteers and staff will leave the Guildhall at noon to walk to Mumbles Pier and back to add their steps and spread awareness for young people's mental health.

Council Cabinet Member for Community Support Hayley Gwilliam said: "It's fantastic to see young people in Swansea involved in such a great cause.

"If you see the team from Evolve out on May 30 please wish them well and offer them your support."
