ECDL workshops

Workshops for ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) and self-directed learners.

These workshop sessions are aimed at supporting self-directed learners who are progressing towards attaining ECDL qualifications, to access module resources and receive support to help pass their exams.

In addition to accessing ECDL teaching materials, learners will be able to take mock exams and work with practice documents focused on ECDL course work and exams.

Actual ECDL exams can be undertaken by prior arrangement.  

Who is it suitable for?

These workshops are suitable for learners who are comfortable in using IT, computers and the internet, to helping their ECDL progression and self-directed learning. A tutor will be available to support your learning during the workshop sessions.

What will you need?

PCs are available for use in the classrooms, but if you choose to bring your own laptop computer, it must be fully charged and used on battery when in class. Internet access is via WiFi but Civic Centre IT Suite learners will require library membership. A memory stick will be required to store your own ECDL work files. A notebook and pen will be helpful for recording notes.

How much will it cost?

This workshop is free to attend but learners must enrol to secure a place in advance. Exam fees covering all 7 modules of the ECDL costs a total of £50 which must be paid prior to taking the first exam. Learners have 3 years from the first exam date to complete all modules.
