Application to access CCTV footage

Please note: you are only able to make a subject access request where you appear personally in our CCTV footage.

For this reason, you must submit an identification document along with this application which shows your face (eg. passport or photocard driving licence).

Requests for footage are limited to a search of one hour in duration, so please be as precise as you can about the time and date of the incident. Because of the amount of third party personal information that may be captured in any footage, we are unable to provide you with access to extended footage from our CCTV.

Your request will be considered alongside the privacy rights of any other individuals who may be captured by the same footage. We may refuse your request if we have concerns about the risk of prejudice or harm to other individuals through their identification.

If your request relates to damage to your vehicles while it was parked and unattended, you are able to ask your insurance company to make an access request on your behalf but cannot use this process.

Swansea Council is the data controller for the personal information you provide on this form.
