Focus on local action group (LAG) member - Bob Morgan
Bob Morgan is our most recent LAG member and we are pleased to welcome him and the expertise he brings from his work in the private sector and his experience of living in a small rural community.

I am a retired financial advisor, who having sold my business "fell" into the holiday lettings sector simply by appreciating the area we had moved into and spotting an opportunity to create tourism provision in Mawr.
Living in Craig Cefn Parc in the Swansea Valley, a village which has lost its post office and primary school in recent years, I am fully aware that many small Welsh villages are suffering from a similar lack of services, I am keen to play a part in ensuring their voice is heard and they are supported when seeking funding for community-led projects.
The previous work of the RDP has shown me the importance of appreciating the opportunities that there are in our rural areas. My years in business have given me a greater understanding of utilising self-help as well as making the best of other opportunities. I hope my role as a LAG member will enable me to contribute to building the resilience of the rural communities in the area in which I live.
Rural Swansea is diverse and I am committed to ensuring the projects supported by LAG reflect this diversity. With a particular interest in tourism, I am keen to encourage projects that draw people to areas and recreational opportunities across the whole of the county.
