Trewyddfa Slopes

The northern portion of the site is composed of a mosaic of bracken dominated scrub and marshy grassland.

The southern extremity exhibits areas of unimproved neutral grassland and amenity grassland with comparatively larger areas comprised of dwarf acid shrub heath and dry heath - acid grassland mosaic (Biodiversity Action Plans priority habitats). A small stream divides the site.

Highlights

Rare birds such as snipe have been spotted at the site.
