Smoke free homes has been set up to support parents and caregivers across the area to provide a smoke-free environment for their children. The first step is creating a smoke free home.

Smoke Free HomeThere is information for to create a smoke free home.  Making your home smoke free will protect your family from developing health problems from breathing in second-hand smoke.  When you make your home smoke-free, everyone will be healthier and safer:

  • Babies will be less likely to develop breathing problems and the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (cot death) is reduced. 
  • Children will be less likely to develop asthma or glue ear. 
  • You will reduce your risk of a fire if your home is smoke free.
