The Joint Resilience Unit (JRU) is responsible for ensuring, on behalf of Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Local Authorities, that the impact of major emergencies affecting their communities is greatly reduced, so increasing the safety of their residents and visitors.

As our title suggests, we are a joint unit working for both Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and the City & County of Swansea. We have six staff, carrying out their duties on behalf of the two authorities.
