Rural Business Plan 2 has been developed by the Swansea Rural Development Partnership with City and County of Swansea acting as its lead body. The Business Plan covers the period 1 March 2011 to 31 December 2013, representing investment of £4.7m in activities designed to provide a focus for rural development in City and County of Swansea. The funding package includes £3.7m of European Union support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development along with funding provided by the Welsh Government, as well as levered funding from key agencies and the third sector.
