Penllergaer Forest

Penllergaer Forest, owned by the Forestry Commission Wales, is a relatively large area (approximately 193 hectares) of woodland, considered to be of considerable community value.

The site is predominantly composed of coniferous woodland with two small areas of semi-natural broadleaved woodland (measuring 1.73 ha approximately) which are located in the northern extremities of the site.

The woodland is mirrored to the south of the M4 motorway by the picturesque landscape of the old Penllergaer estate, Penllergare Valley Woods.
