Open space strategy consultation

Have your say on how to protect, manage, enhance and make better use of the city's open spaces.

The council is developing an action plan that aims to increase accessible open space and people's access to it, designate and protecting open space, encourage community involvement and management and promote biodiversity and nature conservation.

As part of the Open Space Strategy Consultation the council wants to hear the views of a wide range of local people of all ages. Two surveys have been prepared - one for under 16s and one for those who are older.

Young people are being asked where they play, activities they like to do, whether they live near an open space and what could be done to encourage them to use them more. Those who are older are being asked for their views on the aims and objectives of the strategy and they can make suggestions or observations on how these can best be achieved.

Have a look at the draft strategy and complete the survey below - responses can be emailed to oss@swansea.gov.uk
