Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service consultation

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is currently consulting on its priorities and objectives for the next year as part of its Draft Corporate Plan 2018 - 2023.

Chief Fire Officer, Chris Davies said: "We believe that we are extremely good value for money, however we know that we are going to have to continue to play our part in future budget reductions. We think it is important to have an ongoing, open discussion with the public about the services we provide and how we can continue to make improvements and future savings.

"We remain committed to adapting to these challenges in positive ways through improving our use of technology, using innovative solutions to improve the way we resolve operational incidents; and to connect, collaborate and empower our staff and our communities.

"Ultimately, we need to ensure we have the right people, in the right places, at the right times to ensure we can provide the services you need when you need them.

"The Service's Draft Improvement Objectives are outlined in more detail on our website - www.mawwfire.gov.uk along with our online questionnaire, where you can share your views and help shape the future of your Fire Service.

Whilst this is a formal process for consulting, we would also encourage people to use Facebook and Twitter to have informal conversations."

The Draft Corporate Plan 2018 - 2023 consultation is open from Tuesday 3 October 2017 to Friday 8 December 2017.
