Love the great outdoors!

image depicting Lets Walk Cymru

Swansea has an abundance of natural green space, scenic landscapes, coastal walks and urban parks and the aim is to get more people using these more often.

We will looking for groups to develop existing walks and create new ones and explore new and innovative ways of promoting walking to improve health and well being.

Let's Walk Cymru is a Wales-wide initiative developed in partnership with Sport Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government and Countryside Council for Wales - tasked with increasing the number of people participating in walking as a regular activity.

The overall focus of 'Let's Walk Cymru' is to provide information about walking in Wales, specifically related to health walk programmes.

Why Walking?

Walking is known to be one of the best forms of activity, its free, accessible to all and gives you a chance to socialise and make new friends.

Just 30 minutes of walking 5 days a week is all you need to help set you on your way to achieving a healthier lifestyle. The 30 minutes can even be split up into smaller chunks with 3 x 10 minutes.
