We are looking to recruit three new Communities First Coordinators, to cover the Morriston, Sketty and Port Tennant areas. You will help develop these areas towards an inclusive and sustainable future, by co-ordinating and supporting a multi-disciplinary/agency community regeneration initiative.

You will have a well developed understanding of regeneration issues, particularly community regeneration; have experience of monitoring, working with, and establishing community regeneration groups; have experience of preparing and delivering Action Plans; have experience of managing staff and financial budgets, have experience of working with groups to set up projects. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess a �Can Do’ attitude, time driven with a commitment to continuous improvement. This post requires an enhanced CRB check.

You will lead and coordinate the Communities First programme in Swansea and will line manage the Area Communities First Coordinators (where City & County of Swansea is the host employer) and the central Communities First team staff.

You will be responsible for the Communities First budget (where City & County of Swansea is the Grant Recipient Body) and for the delivery of the programme in terms of ensuring that financial and operational management systems area developed and maintained; outcomes and target are set and achieved; Communities First guidelines are followed and that monitoring, financial and performance management returns are submitted to WAG in a timely fashion.

You will have substantial experience of project and/or programme management; staff management; financial and budgetary management and experience of Community Regeneration initiatives. You will be flexible and adaptable, possess a �Can Do’ attitude and have the ability to forge effective working relationships across organisational boundaries.
