This is an exciting opportunity to get involved within The Children’s Play Team, as and when required to support the existing Play Development workers and Tardis Mobile Play Bus Project.
The Children’s Play Team and the Tardis mobile Play Bus project delivers a range of play opportunities for those aged 0 -14 across the City & County of Swansea area.
You will be required to assist in running Open Access Play sessions, delivering largely from Community buildings and Open spaces throughout the City and County of Swansea, as part of the Children’s Play team and the Tardis Mobile Play Bus Project.
The role requires enthusiasm, teamwork, excellent communication skills and flexibility. Staff will be invited to support sessions during the week, weekends and during school holidays.
There will be no set or guaranteed hours, although the majority of the work will take place during evenings and the occasional weekends, other than that which is agreed by yourself and the team - giving consideration to any external commitments you may have.
You will need to have knowledge of the importance of play, particularly Open Access Play, and experience/qualifications of working with children of all ages and young people through play. You will need to be flexible and have good organisation and communication skills

We are looking to appoint an Operations Assistant, you will need to have good organisational skills and the ability to multitask, experience of working on your own initiative with an element of decision making is expected and you must be able to work as part of a small, busy team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles meet operational requirements, schedule repairs of vehicles, attend call-out as required, assist with Depot security, provide supervision and support to operational staff, provide reports for the Transport Manager and Operational Supervisor as requested and assist the Operational Supervisor in all aspects of fleet operations in order to maintain and improve the standard of service.

You must have a driving licence with a D1 category; a P.C.V. is desirable, otherwise a commitment to gain P.C.V. category within a satisfactory timescale.

You must have awareness of basic vehicle maintenance; a qualified mechanical engineer would be desirable.

Keyboard and I.T. skills are required with preferably some Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation relating to Passenger Transport.

You must have the ability to undertake and complete relevant administration duties.
