The City and County of Swansea is looking to recruit high quality managers and leaders with a proven track record in leading successful schools or in delivering high quality school improvement support.

Expressions of interest are invited for the post of Challenge Advisors that will play an integral part in the development of a strong Educational Improvement team to raise standards of Education across Swansea. The role will be predominantly Swansea based but will also support school improvement across the ERW region.

The posts will commence on 01 September 2014 (or sooner if possible) and may be permanent posts or secondment opportunities. Part time working will also be considered.

Flying Start is a Welsh Government initiative, which seeks to offer support for targeted pre-school children and their families, living in designated areas of deprivation. Flying Start offers children access to high quality childcare as part of a multi-agency team approach, in order to improve outcomes in preparation for school and the long term.

We are looking to appoint an excellent Flying Start senior Child Care Worker to support the Flying Start manager and deputise in her absence in our Flying Start setting. You will need relevant qualifications and experience of management in childcare settings as well as lots of enthusiasm and a passion to support children and families. You will be responsible for the operational management and organisation of the child care setting in the absence of the Flying Start Manager and work closely with the school’s talented staff as part of a school campus which already has many established community links.

An Enhanced Disclosure is required for this post.
