Regeneration![]() Regeneration is critical to the economic prosperity of the city.Swansea is committed to improving its long-term economic performance and the facilities available for residents, visitors and businesses. It reflects Welsh Assembly Government and Council policy, and is focussed on delivering priorities in targeted regeneration areas in a coordinated way. There is a commitment to pursue sustainable holistic regeneration, integrating physical, economic, social and community aspirations in the overall approach, in a number of targeted areas where regeneration priorities can be delivered in a coordinated way. The economic regeneration agenda is being administered and monitored on a joint basis by the City and County of Swansea and the Welsh Assembly Government. A Regeneration Partnership Board is responsible for 3 Joint Ventures, at the City Centre, Swansea Vale and Felindre, whilst all other regeneration strategies are the responsibility of the Competitive Places Delivery Team under Swansea2020. Implementation is the responsibility of dedicated teams, involves a wide range of partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors, and significant consultation.
