Swansea PromEnjoy a great day out along Swansea Prom
Swansea Prom, with its range of attractions coupled with the spectacular 5 mile stretch of Swansea Bay, is a great destination for visitors and residents of all ages. Come and enjoy the swan and dragon pedalos in Singleton Boating Lake, a round of golf at Ashleigh Road Pitch & Putt, or let the kids play at Blackpill Lido and Southend Gardens, all connected by the Swansea Bay Rider land train. *The Swansea Bay Rider is currently running on weekends only, 10.00am - 4.30pm, until 18 July and will resume operating daily from Saturday 24 July, 10.00am - 6.30pm. Blackpill Lido, Singleton Boating Lake and the crazy golf course at Southend Gardens are now all open daily until Thursday 2 September, 11am - 6pm.* Stops along the PromThere are many more attractions spread out along the promenade situated in and around 4 main stops: Stop 1 - Maritime Quarter - The spectacular 5 mile prom certainly begins in style in an area packed with superb attractions. Stop 2 - Singleton Park - As you take in the glorious sweep of Swansea Bay you will pass the cenotaph and arrive at the next major stop en-route. Stop 3 - Blackpill - Continue along the prom and you will arrive at Blackpill Lido, Swansea's very own outdoor shallow water park. Stop 4 - Mumbles - The last stop along the prom is Mumbles, a picturesque Victorian seaside resort bustling with shops, cafes, and ice cream parlours. 2010 BrochureA new easy-to-use Swansea Prom brochure is now available highlighting all the attractions along the prom. Pick up a copy of the brochure from one of the following venues: Swansea Tourist Information Centre, Mumbles Tourist Information Centre, The Civic Centre, The Guildhall, Landore Park and Ride and Fabian Way Park and Ride. Prom Voucher BookDownload the new Swansea Prom discount voucher book and receive money off attractions, activities and eateries situated along the promenade. (Terms and conditions apply). The vouchers are also available in a printer friendly format or individually if you only wish to print off a few offers. The voucher books can also be picked up from the Civic Centre, Guildhall and Mumbles / Swansea Tourist Information Centres. EventsThroughout 2010 there will be a host of great events taking place along, or in the vicinity, of the promenade. Additional InformationThe promenade is also part of the National Cycle Network Route 47 and is a great place to explore by bike. Cycle hire is available for all ages.
