Club History
Swansea Rifle Club was founded in 1919.  The Swansea Rifle club is a target shooting organisation which is situated in a quarry in Treboeth.

The club has consistently developed and expanded its facilities and now encompasses every form of target sport.  Within the last 4 years a dedicated air facility has been annexed to the main building as well as a new 50mtr outdoor range with a covered firing area, offering first class facilities for club members and also elite Welsh shooters.

Swansea Rifle Club has the following ranges;
• 50 metre outside rim fire range
• Air gun range
• 25 yard rim fire range
• 25 metre centre fire range

Qualified instructors are on hand and equipment is available for new members.  The club is also fully accessible for the disabled and actively promotes disabled shooting.

Achievements
The club currently has one women's British shooting squad member, Sian Corish and one junior British squad member, Simon Lung.

Coral Kennerly and Nicola Wilson are part of the Welsh women's squad, both shooting air pistol, while Nigel Craddock (air pistol) is a member of the men's squad.

We were privileged to have the New Zealand Paralympic team train here in Swansea as preparation for the games.  New Zealand Paralympic shooter Mike Johnson trained at Club during his stay.  Mike secured a bronze at the 2008 Paralympic games in Beijing.

Additional information
Currently the club boasts a membership of over 300 members who come along to the shooting range shoot some sort of target, 7 days a week.

The club now has a thriving archery section which meets every Monday, Friday and Sunday.  The archery session take place in our 25 metre indoor range and also in our 50 metre outdoor range.

Qualified instructors are always on hand and equipment is available for new members.
