Benefit Changes

image depicting benefits are changing

Swansea Council wants to ensure that its citizens are aware of the changes announced by the UK government that affect a number of the existing state benefits.

In addition, we aim to tell our residents about new benefits that are going to be introduced. The Welfare Reform Act was approved in March 2012 and the changes it introduces will start to take effect from 2013. The timeline for the main changes is laid out below, for further information please click on the pictures.
