Get ready for Swansea Grand Theatre's seasonal sensation
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The sun maybe shining in Swansea, but preparations are in full swing at the theatre for this seasons spectacular. The set is being sawed, the sequins are being sewed and the cast has been created ready for what promises to be the most magical panto' ever!
The cast is ready to bring to life the most enchanting of fairytales, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The hunky prince will be played by top teen soap Hollyoaks heartthrob Kevin Sacre, who has played colourful character Jake Dean for over 6 years. Everyone's favourite mum Melanie Walters from hit show Gavin and Stacey will be turned into a Wicked Queen for the season. (Anyone for an omelette?) Boogie Pete aka Peter Hillier from C-Beebies will be playing 'Muddles' and back by popular demand Kevin Johns will be making his 13th consecutive appearance at the Grand to ensure that there are laughs a plenty. The title role will be played by the loveable I'd Do Anything, 'Nancy' hopeful Sarah Lark and of course there will be 7 mischievous dwarfs to complete the line up.
A theatre spokesperson said,
"Our pantomime will be jam packed with the usual 'hiss n' boos', 'he's behind you's' and this year, seven pairs of little shoes. The starry cast will transport children and adults alike to a magical fairytale world, where anything can happen; it'll be a night to remember."
Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Cllr Graham Thomas commented,
"Once again, 'the Grand' is offering a great traditional family treat with a hugely talented cast. I hope that our patrons have a wonderful time at Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs during this coming festive period."
