Festive lantern fun for Swansea community

FESTIVE fun will soon arrive in a Swansea community thanks to a Christmas lantern parade.

Residents taking part will walk different routes around Penlan before arriving at Penlan Methodist Church where they'll be greeted by the 215 Air Cadets and their band.

The event starts at 5.30pm on Thursday December 10 and is being organised by Penlan's Communities First team.

Santa and Christmas entertainment will be on hand inside the church and free turkey rolls and mince pies will be available to anyone who takes part in the parade.

People interested in participating and attending lantern-making workshops in the build-up to the parade are asked to call the Penlan Communities First offices on 01792 586149.
