Disabled Access to Public Toilets

16 of our 19 public toilets currently have disabled access. The council also provides RADAR facilities at 15 sites.

The RADAR key scheme is a nationally recognised scheme that provides access to quality public services using a key.

RADAR Keys are obtainable for £3 from the following locations:

Disabled facilities are also provided at Victoria Park.  These facilities do not include RADAR, and are locked at night.

Accessible toilets are also situated in the ground floor of the Civic Centre.  In addition, a Changing Places facility is also located adjacent to the main reception. This provides accessible toilet facilities for people with profound and multiple learning difficulties and other disabled people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. The facility provides extra space for disabled people and their personal assistants or carers, and a height adjustable changing bench and hoist.
