Poverty Profile of Swansea 2008

Launched on the 17th of October 2008 on World Poverty Day, the Social Inclusion Unit has produced an updated Poverty Profile of Swansea. This is the third Poverty Profile for Swansea. The first was completed in 1997, the second in 2001. The Poverty Profile will now be updated on a 4 yearly cycle and reviewed annually. The aims of the Poverty Profile are:

• To raise awareness of social inclusion issues
• To provide comprehensive and up-to-date information to aid funding applications
• To identify what the key themes and risks are for the future
• To act as a signpost to further sources of information
