Langland Beach Huts Ten Year Letting SchemeThe Council is currently collecting contact details for members of the Public, who wish to express an interest in acquiring a beach hut in the Langland Bay Beach Hut ten year letting scheme. The beach huts at Langland Bay have been an important part of the coastal landscape of Swansea for many years. The 79 beach huts were originally constructed in the 1920's and were coming to the end of their useful lives. To secure the future of the huts, the City and County of Swansea which owns and manages the huts has to date rebuilt 22 huts (numbers 52 to 71 & 76 & 77) and let them for ten years to cover the rebuild costs. In Autumn 2009, under the ten year letting scheme, we intend to rebuild hut numbers 50,51,72,73,74 & 75. Hut 50 is the only hut still available to lease.
