Applications and Forms for Building RegulationsThere are two different methods of applying for Building Regulations, a Building Notice or Full Plans.The pages below include information about both of these methods. There are also copies of all our application forms and details of our fees. You may also need to submit a form for Regularisation and Retaining Walls. These are also available to download from these pages. Application forms are available to download for both the Full Plans and Building Notice schemes as well as for Regularisation.
Submit-a-Plan.com is a partnership between LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and Resolution to facilitate e-working between local authority building control teams and their clients.
The Building Regulation fees are divided into Plan and Inspection Fees, Building Notice Fees and Regularisation Fees. They are different for each type of work.
This is the simpler of the two methods of notification.

If you have carried out work without first obtaining the necessary building regulation approval, you may have difficulty in selling the property or re-mortgaging.
An application under the West Glamorgan Act 1987 (Retaining Walls) Section 26 will need to be submitted if building a wall which is retaining land over 1.5m in height.
