Green Bag Scheme![]() Every home in Swansea can use green bags to easily recycle paper, glass and cans from the kerbside. How the green bag scheme works Every home is provided with a supply of green bags. Into these you can put paper, glass and cans. You can mix glass and cans together in the same bag but you must put paper in a separate bag. Green bags are collected fortnightly (once every 2 weeks) from the kerbside on the same day as your black bags. Your parents should know what day your black bags are collected and to find out your correct collection week use our recycling collection search. How to get more green bags If you are running low on green bags a reusable plastic bag tag is available to order more bags. Fill in your address on the bag tag and attach it to one of the bags on your collection day. When to the crew come to collect your bags they will remove the bag tag and return it along with a new supply of bags. You or your parents can also request new green bags by emailing the recycling office at recycling@swansea.gov.uk or phone us on 01792 635600.
