The Song of the Mischievous Dog Swansea Grammar School Magazine - December 1925 A complete run of the Swansea Grammar School Magazine is held in the library. It includes numerous contributions from Dylan Thomas. The "Song of the Mischievous Dog" was his first published poem. And Death Shall Have No Dominion The New English Weekly - 18th May 1933 His first published poem in a literary magazine. The Enemies New Stories June - July 1934 An early short story later included in his book "The Map of Love" 1939. Prologue to an Adventure Wales No. 1 - Summer 1937 A Short Story. The Tree The Adelphi - December 1934 A Short Story reprinted in book form in "The Map of Love", 1939, but with a number of alterations and deletions. Fern Hill Horizon - October 1945 First printing, this poem has been much reprinted and translated. In the White Giant's Thigh - a poem Atlantic Volume 188, No. 3 - 1951 Dylan contributed to a number of issues of this American periodical. Llareggub: a piece for radio perhaps Botteghe Oscure - April 1952 An Italian literary periodical, this is the first half of what was to become "Under Milk Wood". Manuscripts The majority of original manuscript material by Dylan Thomas is held in various libraries in the U. S.A., including Texas which houses the majority, Buffalo and New York.
