The Song of the Mischievous Dog

Swansea Grammar School Magazine - December 1925

A complete run of the Swansea Grammar School Magazine is held in the library. It includes numerous contributions from Dylan Thomas. The "Song of the Mischievous Dog" was his first published poem.

The New English Weekly - 18th May 1933

His first published poem in a literary magazine.

An Italian literary periodical, this is the first half of what was to become "Under Milk Wood". It is followed by a letter from the author outlining the plan of the whole work.

Translations

The Collection contains numerous translations of "Under Milk Wood" and many of the poems in various European languages, together with a number of Japanese translations.


Illustrations

Swansea Reference Library holds some copyrighted photographs and postcards of Dylan, his family and friends as well as of locations in Swansea that are associated with him.


Manuscripts

The majority of original manuscript material by Dylan Thomas is held in various libraries in the U. S.A., including Texas which houses the majority, Buffalo and New York. Swansea Libraries has copies of much of this material, for example:
