Re-Cycle

image depicting Re-Cycle

According to research the British throw away over 1.2 million bicycles each year!

The Re-Cycle scheme in Swansea, which is a project of the Black Environment Network and supported by The Countryside Council for Wales,  takes in donations of unwanted bikes which are refurbished, repaired and supplied cheaply to low waged people, asylum seekers and refugees.

Simply take your unwanted bicycles to the Re-Cycle workshop, or browse the showroom at Catherine Street (alley between number 19A and The Mill pub), off Bryn y Mor Road Swansea.  A map showing Catherine Street is available through the link on the right.

The workshop is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.30 am to 5pm.

For further information on the scheme, including how to donate your bicycle contact Anthony Nichols at the Black Environment Network on 01792 468271.
