Environment

Welcome to the pages that highlight some of the environmental issues that affect the people of Swansea.

Swansea is a city in a unique location; its sandy bay provides a gateway to the Gower Peninsula, the UK's first area of outstanding beauty, and the surrounding area includes natural landscapes, parks, towns, villages and a coastline of great diversity.

We are committed to our environment and aim to protect and improve it by:

  • protecting and promoting the well being of the people living, working and visiting the area.
  • helping bring prosperity to Swansea by assisting and supporting investment and developments.
  • enhancing and improving the city and area's infrastructure.
  • working to conserve and improve the environment.
