18 October - 20 January CRAFT GALLERY

Vessels and domestic utensils made of precious silver have earned a long and distinguished pedigree for silversmiths. Perhaps this credible position is the cause which has kept their craft at bay from parts of contemporary society?
Silver in Translation is intended to deflate this elitist reputation with fresh inspirational thinking by three young British artists, who have attracted an enthusiastic following for their diverse expressions.

Some works read as abstractions or are architecturally led, while others adopt a more subversive approach to conformity.
